Festive Fun

Today headed over to the Galloping Graces Pumpkin Patch.  It's a super fun place for kiddos and to buy your pumpkins (of every random shape, color, and size).  Plus, it's like a 5 minute drive from home and it's FREE!  We went last year, but Audrey was all of 2 months old so we went for mainly picture taking purposes.  Just look at how tiny she was!! Boy has time flown by!

This year was a whole other story.  Audrey was running around and exploring EVERYTHING.  She had so much fun and so did we!! I think Elijah took close to 100 pictures while we were there.  We dressed Audrey up in her Halloween inspired gear and let her go at it!! Here is a look at our lovely morning.  Did I mention the weather was amazing?  Like upper 60's, low 70's.  Perfect!
Checking out the play yard made of corn!

Yay for slides!

Weeeeeee!

Here she is one year later in the same scarecrow.  Not a great photo, but what do you expect from someone who is always on the go?

I think this was her favorite thing.  Riding around on the John Deere tractor.

Turkeys! Gobble, gobble.

Chicken coop.

Horsies

Loved the goats.

This sheep kept ramming the gate.

Yet another "great" photo.  Obviously the cowgirl had better things to look at.

Bunny

Audrey had fun playing in the water as the ducks raced down the pipe.

Love this photo!

Corn maze.  We let her be the guide.

Fun mommy/daughter photo attempt 1.

Attempt 2.  Notice how she is trying to get away.

And the fun photo is done.  Off she goes....

....to the trashcan.

Hay maze.

Picking out a pumpkin for her and her Grandpa.

Last shot!

Thanks Mommy and Daddy for an amazing morning.  I love my pumpkin!

I am a versatile blogger!!

Well isn't this a nice surprise!! I got awarded with being "The Versatile Blogger."  I really do enjoy blogging and writing (for fun and not for school purposes) and I wish I had more time in the day to blog away.  I have so many neat ideas and 1 out 8 usually gets posted.  That's what life is like when you work and have a toddler!  I very much appreciate Mikki at Mom's Best Nest who awarded me with this!! It's always nice to know that I can make some people smile with my silly humor and the antics of our ladybug!  For this award I need to share 7 things about myself so here goes:

1.  I have been married for 7 years to Elijah, but we have been together for almost 13...since I was 18.  You can do the math to predict my age.
2.  Audrey is my miracle baby.  After 4 years of trying and being told we probably wouldn't have a baby without assistance, we were blessed with her!
3.  I LOVE animals with all my heart.  Each and every creature I want to take home and love.  Unfortunately I live in the burbs and we can't have goats, pigs, horses, giraffes, monkeys, and other such animals.
4.  I love me some TV.  Reality TV mostly, but I adore 2 new shows: Suburgatory and Pan Am.  Thank goodness for DVR.
5.  I always talk about moving away to California, but at the end of the day I am sure I would wimp out since I am a creature of comfort and like my little bubble.
6.  I have taught kindergarten for going on 6 years now and I really couldn't see teaching any other age group. There is so much growth that goes on in kindergarten.  They come in as babies and leave with an enormous amount of knowledge!
7.  Our future house will include an extra bedroom/bathroom for my dad.  Even though he is "young" and will never need assistance, it is my duty to make sure he is happy and safe in his olden days (15+ years from now) and that will be with me, whether he likes it or not!

Here are 15 blogs, in no particular order, that are worth reading and I am awarding them the Versatile Blogger Award:
1. Camp Patton
2. A Day in the Life of Braylon
3. Another Day Stronger
4. Baca Ohana
5.House Unseen. Life Unscripted.
6.Between us Sheets
7. Lines Across my Face
8. Maybe if you just Relax
9. Me and my New Life
10. Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas
11. The Deans
12.The Pleated Poppy
13. Mommy Bags
14. Living Craftily Ever After
15. Remodel this House
The rules for the award are as follows,

1. Thank and Link back to the person that gave it to you!
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Send the Versatile Blogger Award on to 15 other bloggers and let them know you have awarded them!

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

This time of year is my absolute favorite.  The weather is getting cooler, the leaves on the trees are starting to change color, Halloween is right around the corner, and the Balloon Fiesta!!! Here in Albuquerque we have have the largest hot air balloon "show" around.  Balloonists from around the world gather at the Balloon Fiesta Park and take flight in our beautiful blue sky.  As the sun rises the sky is filled with colorful dots drifting North.  It's always been hard to wake up super early to go see the balloons take off so we usually hit the Glowdeo.  Weather is always tricky down here and the last 3 times we have attempted to go it is too windy for the balloons to go up.  So this year we woke up at 4:15 in the morning and headed over to the Fiesta to watch the balloons take off on day 1 of the Dawn Patrol.  Audrey was in Heaven watching all the balloons take flight.  Elijah enjoyed himself because he actually got to see them go up, which he hasn't done since he was little.  Some of these pictures really could be in a calendar or in a frame and we get to see it in person every day for a week!!!  Enjoy!
